Delete your account
Delete your Sioly account and everything in it — in the app, in three taps. Nothing has to go through us.

How to delete it
App: Sioly · Developer: Noah Sioly UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
You do this yourself, in the app, without asking us. It takes three taps and it is immediate — there is no waiting period and no queue on our side.
- Open Sioly and go to Profile.
- Scroll to Account actions at the bottom.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Directly above it sits Log out. That is not a smaller deletion: it ends the session on this device and nothing else. Sign back in and everything is there.
This does not end your subscription
A running subscription is billed by Apple or Google, not by us — deleting the account does not touch it, and neither can we. Cancel it where you bought it, and do that before deleting the account, because afterwards the app can no longer point you there:
What gets erased
Everything below is deleted in the same operation. This is not a list of intentions — it is what the deletion routine actually sweeps.
- Your routines — custom routines, their settings, task durations, completions and the full history
- Your progress — streaks, weekly progress, records, achievements, completed tasks and your progress board layout
- Your journal — every entry, including the photos and the voice recordings stored with them
- Your gym log — workouts, exercises, sets and wake times
- Your profile — name, email, onboarding answers, settings, notification registrations and push tokens
- Community — your messages, reactions, notifications, group memberships and any appeal or account-status record
- Feature requests — the ones you filed, plus your votes and comments
- Uploaded files — journal audio and community images are removed from storage as well, not just their database rows
- Your sign-in identity — deleted last, which is what makes the account stop existing rather than merely stop working
If the identity cannot be removed, the whole thing reports a failure instead of a false success. You are never signed out on a failed deletion — that would look like it worked.
What still exists afterwards — and why
A list of what is deleted is only honest next to a list of what is not. These four are deliberate, and each has a reason that is not convenience.
| What | After deletion | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Payment records | After deletionstay | Whya purchase is an accounting record. § 147 (3) AO and § 257 HGB set the retention period, and they override the right to erasure for exactly this kind of data |
| Groups you created | After deletionstay, your link is cut | Whyother people are in them. Deleting the group would delete their data too, so the group survives and the “created by” field is emptied — it points at nobody |
| Purchase and billing data | After deletionstay with Apple or Google | Whythe store is your contract partner for the purchase, and it has its own statutory retention. We have no access to it and cannot delete it for you |
| Emails you sent us | After deletionon request | Whythey sit in a mailbox, not in the app database, so the deletion does not reach them. Write to us and they go too |
| Device backup (iCloud, Google Drive) | After deletionmay still hold a copy | Whybackups are yours, not ours — delete older ones yourself if you need to |
No longer have access to the app?
If you uninstalled Sioly or cannot sign in any more, write to us from the address you signed up with and we do it for you.
Or by post: Noah Sioly UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Hoheluftchaussee 139, 20253 Hamburg, Germany.
We need no ID for this. Writing from the address on the account is enough — and if you no longer have that address either, tell us and we will find another way to confirm it is you.
Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights under the GDPR. Access, correction, portability, restriction and objection are written out, along with what we store and for how long, in the privacy policy.
