Frequently asked questions
The things people actually write in about. Cannot find yours? A person is one message away.
Subscription & billing
I paid, but Premium is still locked
Open the upgrade screen in Sioly and tap Restore. The subscription belongs to your Apple or Google account, not to your Sioly account, so the app has to ask the store for it once.
Still locked? Make sure the store is signed in with the account you actually paid with — a second Apple ID on the same phone is the usual cause. If it persists, write to us with the email you paid with and we will look it up.
I got a new phone and Premium is gone
Same answer, same reason: sign in to the store with the account you bought with, then tap Restore on the upgrade screen. Your routines and progress come back separately — sign in to Sioly and the sync brings them down.
Can I move my subscription from iPhone to Android?
No. Apple and Google run separate billing, and neither can transfer a subscription to the other. If you switch platforms, cancel on the old one and subscribe on the new one. Your routines and progress move with your Sioly account and are not affected.
How do I cancel, and how do I get a refund?
Both happen where you bought — we are not the seller and can do neither for you. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays until the period you already paid for runs out.
- iPhone and iPad — Settings › your name › Subscriptions
- Android — Play Store › profile › Payments and subscriptions
Deleting the app or your Sioly account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel first, then delete.
I bought Sioly on the old website. Is that gone?
No. Purchases made through the web checkout, before the app existed, do not expire and need no subscription on top. If your access ever stops working, that is a bug and not an expiry — tell us and we fix it.
The app itself
“Generation failed” when I describe my routine
Writing a routine from your words happens on a server, so it needs a connection. On a weak one the request times out and you see that message. Everything else — your routines, the tools, your progress — keeps working offline; only the planner, the voice input and the calorie scan need the internet.
Steps Pro is empty on my Android phone
It is iPhone-only, and the app says so before you buy. Step history on iPhone comes from Apple Health, which every iPhone has. Android has no equivalent that is present on every device, so the module reports itself unavailable instead of showing zeros. Everything else in Premium works identically on both.
An exercise video will not load
The videos stream from our server and need a connection. On a slow one, give it a moment and try again. If a specific exercise never loads, send us its name — that is a missing file on our side, not on your phone.
My reminders do not arrive
Three things switch them off, in this order of likelihood:
- Notifications are off for Sioly in your phone settings.
- A focus mode or Do Not Disturb is filtering them.
- Battery saving is suspending the app in the background.
Reminders are scheduled on the device, so they also fire without a connection.
Your data
I reinstalled the app and everything is gone
Sign in with the same account and the sync brings your routines, progress and journal back down. What is stored only on the device — and therefore does not come back — is anything you created while signed out.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Account actions → Delete account. It is immediate, and nothing goes through us. What exactly is erased, what survives and why is written out on delete your account.
What happens to my journal entries and photos?
They are stored with your account so they survive a new phone, and they are deleted with it — including the files themselves, not just their database rows. They are not sold and not used to build an advertising profile. The full picture is in the privacy policy.
Groups
I cannot join a group
Invite links expire when the group owner regenerates them, and a group that was deleted cannot be joined at all. Ask for a fresh link. If a current link still fails, send it to us — that is something we can look up.
