Referral programme terms

These terms supplement the Terms of Use.
1. Who can take part
Anyone with a Sioly account can share their invite code. You need an account for a reward to be credited to — until you have one, a code you were given is kept on this device and applied as soon as you sign in.
2. What earns a reward
A reward of $5 is earned when someone enters your code during setup and then pays for Sioly Premium. Signing up or using the free version does not earn anything, and a free trial counts only once it turns into a paid subscription: the reward follows the payment, not the install.
3. When you can use it
A reward becomes available as soon as your friend's payment goes through — no waiting period. If that payment is later refunded or charged back, the reward is removed again.
4. Cancelling never takes it back
If your friend later cancels their Premium, your reward stays. It is only reversed if their payment is refunded or charged back — in that case no money was ever received, so there is nothing to share.
5. How many
Up to 12 rewarded referrals per calendar year, per account. The limit exists so the total stays below the German tax-free threshold for occasional income (§ 22 Nr. 3 EStG); above it, the whole amount would become taxable for you.
6. How to use your balance
From $5 you can turn your balance into free Sioly Premium time. Your balance never expires — but deleting your Sioly account deletes it with everything else.
7. How much time your balance buys
Every $5 of balance is at least 15 days of Sioly Premium — more if your plan costs less per day. Part of a reward counts too, rounded down to whole days. The time is added to what you already have: if your subscription still runs for ten months, it then runs for ten months and 15 days.
8. What does not count
Referring yourself, accounts created to redeem your own code, and codes posted to coupon or deal sites are excluded, and rewards from them are removed. One code per account, and a code can only be entered once — during setup. A subscription shared through Apple Family Sharing does not count, because your friend did not pay for it, and a purchase has to bring in at least the reward itself after store fees.
9. What your friends see
Nothing about you beyond the code you gave them. In your own list, people who used your code appear as "Friend 1", "Friend 2" and so on, with the date and the amount — never their name, email or anything else about them.
10. Changes
We can change or end the programme at any time. Rewards you have already earned are not affected — they stay in your balance and stay redeemable.
11. Tax
Rewards are a thank-you, not payment for work. In Germany, occasional income of this kind is tax-free below €256 per calendar year (§ 22 Nr. 3 EStG); the limit above keeps the programme under it. Anything you may owe is your own responsibility.
